Chapel Down makes only World Class wine from grapes grown in vineyards across the South East of England. Here, the Geology and climate combine to provide the perfect terroir for cool climate wines.
This is a sparkling blend of primarily Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc which have been skilfully blended together by our winemaking team and matured in tank for six months. Between 9-24 months further ageing in bottle prior to release has produce a finely structured English sparkling rosé wine.
The first vines were planted at Tenterden in the late 1970's and the vineyard has been continuously producing English wines from this site ever since. Chapel Down also owns a larger vineyard in Aylesford in Kent and has long term leases on over 300 acres of land in Kent.
The Chapel Down Winery is situated just outside Tenterden, in the Weald of Kent. We have sourced grapes for this wine from sites in the South-East of England where we have identified the ideal 'terroir'.
